Work with Me

WHERE PURPOSE MEETS STRATEGY

There are moments when moving forward requires space to step away from the usual demands, look at what is happening with fresh eyes, and consider what comes next.

Through consulting, workshops, and retreats, I work with women, organizations, and communities to create thoughtful spaces for reflection, learning, problem-solving, and purposeful action - while building connections across communities, cultures, and borders.

My approach draws on four decades of experience in education, disability, advocacy, leadership, and systems change, along with academic work in psychology, special education, theology, spirituality, leadership, and justice.

Ways to Work With Me

Workshops

LEARNING THAT LEADS SOMEWHERE

A good workshop should offer more than information. It should create space to think, question, connect, and consider what we might do differently.

I design and facilitate workshops for organizations, community groups, ministries, and gatherings of women. Topics can be customized and may draw from areas such as leadership, purpose, disability and inclusion, advocacy, spirituality, justice, personal growth, and community.

Each experience is designed to connect meaningful conversation with practical application.

Consulting

PERSPECTIVE. STRATEGY. POSSIBILITY.

Complex challenges rarely come with simple answers.

I provide consulting for women, leaders, organizations, and communities seeking an experienced thought partner as they work through questions involving leadership, organizational change, education, disability, advocacy, equity, and community engagement.

Consulting engagements are shaped around the needs of the individual or organization and may include strategic conversations, problem-solving, program or initiative development, and facilitated planning.

Retreats

SPACE TO REFLECT, RECONNECT & REIMAGINE

There are moments when we need more than another meeting or another item on the calendar. We need room to think.

SisterFriend retreats create intentional space for reflection, renewal, conversation, learning, and discernment. Retreat experiences can be designed for women, leadership teams, organizations, ministries, and community groups.

Whether the focus is purpose, leadership, transition, community, or simply making room to hear ourselves think again, each retreat is shaped around the people who will gather and what they need from the experience.

Why Work With Me

I bring both professional expertise and lived perspective to this work.

My career began as a special education teacher and led to senior leadership with the New York State Education Department, where from 2013 to 2023 I served as Chief of Special Education Services–Downstate, responsible for special education oversight and quality assurance across New York City.

My academic background spans psychology, special education, and theology, including a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary with a focus on Womanist Theology. I am currently a Doctor of Ministry candidate in Spirituality, Leadership and Justice at Union Theological Seminary, anticipated May 2027.

I bring these experiences together through The SisterFriend Network with one guiding belief:

Experience should do more than establish expertise. It should become something we can use in service of others.

Let’s Start a Conversation

You may already know exactly what you need. Or you may simply know that something needs attention. Either is a good place to begin.

If you are considering consulting, a workshop, or a retreat, tell me a little about yourself, your organization or community, and what you are hoping to accomplish. We can begin there.

Each woman's story holds sacred wisdom. We heal when we listen, and we rise when we're heard.
